Our mission is to provide inspiration and encouragement to beginning and experienced art docents in the Alameda schools.

Alameda Art Docents: Hopes and Goals 2010

• Continue and Improve our Jumpstart Workshops, Photo Tutorials and Art Docent Interviews

• Support Art Docents and Coordinators where and when we can

• Partner with Los Gatos Art Docents for Training and Adult Education and Field Trips

• Participate in Art Is Education Month in March with exhibitions and press

• Get two more Press Mentions

• Have Alameda Free Library Show about Arts Learning Made Visible

• Have a materials swap at our meeting at our meeting for fun

• Have a art supply collection drive if Washington, Haight or Ruby Bridges need it

• Bring more volunteer positions into the planning committee

• Partner with the Frank Bette Center, Mastick Center and Alameda Women Artists for community volunteer recruitment and training

• Develop and Start a training program with at least four new volunteers

• Seek classrooms  and principals wanting our Trainees at  Haight  or Washington Schools

• Have monthly Planning Committee Meetings

• Redesign website
